What is the sign-up process?
Complete the Boot Camp Registration
form on this site, and submit it electronically. Once we
have received your registration and boot camp payment (you
may pay online with a credit card or mail a check), we will
send you a confirmation email. You will receive another
email, a few days before camp starts, with specific instructions
about what to bring, where to meet, when assessments will
be held,etc.
What is the assessment about?
The assessment is very simple and takes
only about 20 minutes to complete. In most cases, assessments
are held the second day of camp. You can expect the following:
- An introduction to Tarrant County
Boot Camp and answers to any questions
you may have.
- Welcome packet, including information
on nutrition and achieving energy balance.
- Simple body measurements—necessary
to establish "where you are" prior to beginning
camp. We don't care what the measurements show. It is
strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and
all other information are strictly confidential.
- Determination of current weight. Again,
the number doesn't matter. We just need a beginning point,
so we can accurately track your progress.
- Analysis of your body composition.
Expect a 3-5% reduction in body fat over the four weeks
of camp.
What kind of people go to camp?
You'll be inspired, encouraged, and motivated
by other women, just like you, who are
seriously committed to improving their
health and fitness levels! Some of our campers are beginners
wanting to jump-start their program, and some are veteran
exercisers ready for a new challenge. Most of our
campers have some history of exercise, but it's not required.
Don’t worry! We’ll adjust your workout, so it’s
just right for you!
What level is the class? Will I fit in?
Every class has every level of fitness represented
in it, from marathon runners to people who have never worked
out before in their lives. You go at your pace in this class,
with an instructor encouraging you to push yourself, while,
also, reminding you to listen to your body. You'll be surprised
at how well you will fit in, as long as
you come with a positive attitude and a willingness to work
hard…for you!
Will I be sore sometimes?
Many boot campers feel some soreness
for the first 2-3 days. After that, it is slight
to moderate. It's all part of the process
of improving your physical condition and moving towards
the new you!
What if my alarm doesn't go off or I feel
sick one day - can I do a make-up class?
We do expect and want you to work out everyday.
That’s how you get the best and quickest results!
However, we understand that there are sometimes unforeseen
circumstances. And, although we're usually flexible with
make-ups, each is handled on a case-by-case basis. So, please
contact your instructor to get approval before attending
your make-up class.
Are there shower facilities, or a place
where I can get ready for work?
Yes, please contact us for current shower
facilities information.
What do we do if it rains?
If it is just raining, we will still meet
for camp. Each location provides us with a pavilion, and
we will work out under these covered areas. If, however,
there is threatening weather, you will be notified via email
the status of your class.
How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can
take place in as little as 3 days. Visual
improvement can take from 2 to
4 weeks depending on your
effort level. After, the first week, it's not uncommon to
see as much as 3-5 pounds of weight loss, but some see results
more in the way of inch-loss. Remember, everyone is different!
What will I do after boot camp is over?
You will schedule your post-evaluation.
You will be re-measured and re-tested.
(Post-evaluations take about 20 minutes to complete.) Excited
about your progress and success, you will probably choose
to do what many (up to 80%) of our campers do—sign
up for another boot camp! Consider making it a
permanent and regular part of your workout regimen. It may
be just what you need to keep you motivated and your exercise
routine challenging.
What if I sign up for the 3-day plan, and
then want to do all 20 days of the camp?
This actually happens almost every time a
person starts with 3 days per week. Because you will have
so much fun, you may want to do more days. You will simply
be prorated from the point you decide to join us for the
increased number of days.
Is there a refund policy?
There are no cash or credit refunds.
If you are unable to continue with the camp you began, or
if you miss 5 or more consecutive days (due to circumstances
beyond your control, such as injury or major illness), we
can give you a credit towards another boot camp.
This credit is nontransferable.
